Michael Dolsey + Wheels N Waves: New Boards In Stock

Wheels N Waves is a proud carrier of Michael Dolsey Designs fun boards, longboards, foam top boards, and stand up paddle boards. The brand is known for their reasonable prices, high durability, stability, and high potential to bring fun to users! The designs and colorways are simply beautiful, especially on their mid sized boards, which we now are fully stocked up on! Don’t believe the hype we’re giving them? Come into the shop and see for yourself.

Especially with summer in full swing, we thought it would be a good idea to put an order in so that we could best serve the southern Maine surfing community with some quivers best suited for Northeast surfing. These boards can do it all; they perform great on days with knee high surf, and even better when a storm surge brings in huge swells! And of course, they’re being offered at an unbeatable price. Michael Dolsey Design fully epoxy fun boards (from 6 ’10-7′ 10) are being offered with fins and wax for 450 dollars at Wheels N Waves. With this in mind, we’re going to go through 3 boards in particular that stood out to us from the recent shipment.

W N W Pick #1: The Michael Dolsey 7’2

The 7’2 is straight up awesome-so much so that we almost wanted to keep it for ourselves. The shape of this MD in particular is awesome for mid-sized waves, and it’s width is perfect for beginners as well as riders with some experience. The rounded nose makes it easy to catch waves with, but it’s length doesn’t prevent riders from having the necessary flexibility to make smooth, sweeping turns. It has medium to higher volume, making it perfect for most conditions in Maine. It’s just thick enough to give riders a bit of an extra nudge onto the wave. Not to mention, the colorway is rad! If we were you, we’d grab this one before someone else does.

W N W Pick #2: The Michael Dolsey 7’0

This board is a perfect option for waves on the larger side that won’t break the bank! The design might look simple, but the performance certainly isn’t. The 7’0 isn’t quite as short as a full on short board, but it’s of a size that will allow riders great flexibility in terms of riding style. The nose has a slight angle, contributing to it’s maneuverability. The volume is on the mid to lower spectrum, making it easier for the rider to paddle out in choppy conditions or greater sized swells. At the same time, this board still has the width and size to be considered a very stable option! Overall, it’s versatility is unmatched by very few other boards. Someone looking to step up or simply have a board they can take out on any day has found their match!

W N W Pick 3: The Michael Dolsey 7’6

If you’ve been searching for a board that simply gives riders the time of their lives in an aesthetically pleasing way, STOP! You’ve found it. In the typical Maine summer conditions, this board rocks. It’s fun handling is matched with unbeatable durability-not to mention the wood accents are killer! The 7’6 has high volume, making it extremely buoyant and well suited for days that might require a bit more paddle power. Stable with a curved nose, shredding on this quiver is a breeze! It’s certainly not long enough to be considered a longboard, but it feels just like one minus the lack of turning radius. Riders can easily get up and go, and in southern Maine, there are very few waves that can’t be caught with this one. We have it waiting in the shop-just for you!
