It’s almost Thanksgiving, and for us that means waves and turkey since we’re always thinking about being on a board. We’re also taking some time to reflect on the past year or so, and we can’t help but be filled with gratitude. There’s still some time left until 2026, but we want to take this time to thank each and every one of you who has supported us, watched our videos, and stopped by the shop in 2025. Wheels N Waves wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you, and we want you to know how much we love what we do. Especially in Maine, the surfing community is made up of tough, tight-knit and resilient people, and we have so much pride in being a part of it.
Especially during the winter months when the temperature takes a dip and the area becomes less crowded, it can be easy to get stuck reminiscing on summer, but we’re here and we’re ready! Surfing in the summer is amazing, but surfing Maine in the winter is even better. We get it, the thought of paddling out this time of year sounds super, super cold – but trust us, we wouldn’t have been surfing during the winter all these years if it wasn’t worth it. If you want the full Maine experience, you have to try it at least once.
We still stay open every day because even if you just need new fins or a sweatshirt, we’re here for you. It’s just what being your local surf shop means to us, and we take it seriously. Even if you need advice or you want to talk, come by and see us – it’s our job! So cheers, and for everyone’s sake let’s cross our fingers for some waves and turkey this Thursday.
